Waterman City Line Rollerball Refills a Better Way

Uniball Gel RT and the rotary tool

Recently when I reviewed the Uniball Gel RT Micro .38 mm Gel Ink Pens, I was really impressed with everything about them from the ink to the bodies to the grips, but still with good enough not really being good enough I had an idea.  Why not see if I could take one of my favorite pen bodies (my Waterman Expert City Line Rollerball) and take the amazing refills from the Gel RT Micro and combine the two? … [Read more...]

Uniball Gel RT Micro .38mm Pen Review

Uniball Gel RT Micro .38 mm

I've reviewed a bunch of Uniball Signo pens in the past, but the majority of them have come from JetPens, and are not usually available at many places within the US, especially not at any major retail office supply stores.  For that reason, I was excited when I learned that the Uniball Gel RT Micro .38 mm was available from OfficeMax, and also here from Amazon.com if you are so inclined. Most of my reviews of the Uniball Signo line have consisted of … [Read more...]

Uniball Jetstream Premier 1mm

Eventually you might get tired of coming to this site looking for cool office supplies only to find yet another review of a slightly different Uniball Jetstream, but I assure you that I think this may be one of the last Jetstream reviews for a while.  Not because I don’t like them anymore, but just because I think I’ve covered the majority of the Jetstream line.  I picked up this Uniball Jestream Premier from Amazon recently for this review. … [Read more...]

Uniball Jetstream Alpha Gel Grip

Recently when @dowdyism over at The Pen Addict posted this, it reminded me that I had never done a pen review on one of my pens that I have a love/hate relationship with.  Now I know I've reviewed 2 other Uniball Jetstream pens, but although the ink cartridge and delivery system on this pen is the same as the others I reviewed, the body of this pen is much different. … [Read more...]

Office Supplies to Prevent Identity Theft and Fraud

Long post today, it covers Uniball pens, Paper Shredders, Privacy Screens, and a bunch of online resources.  Just my spin on how to use office supplies to keep your personal info protected. I'm sure that many of you have already seen the above Uniball commercial that explains some of the benefits of their pens in preventing identity theft and fraud, and I know that there have been some other good posts on other pen review sites about these pens and … [Read more...]

Exclusive Review: Uniball Signo Gel Pen & Mechanical Pencil in One

The good people over at Uniball have shown their generosity and let me get my hands on their new and yet unreleased Signo MF2 Gel Pen and Mechanical Pencil. Specific thanks go to @Uniball_Pen_Gal on Twitter. She works for the Uni-ball brand, and was the one responsible for sending this new pen over to me. When I started this blog I really just thought it would be a good excuse for me to buy some more office supplies to play with, and I could justify the … [Read more...]

Uni-ball Signo 207 Review

I picked up these Uniball Signo 207 pens on a recent trip to Staples when I was looking for some new stuff to review.  I already tried some of the other Uniball Signo pens like the DX and the Bit from JetPens, which both have much finer points compared to these.  Because of the impressive performance of those pens with smaller points my assumption was that these pens must write as well if not better.  These Uniball Signo 207 pens are supposed to thwart any … [Read more...]

Uni-ball Alpha Gel HD Ballpoint Pen – 0.7 mm – Green Grip

I actually forgot for a while that I even had this Uni-ball Alpha Gel HD Ballpoint Pen .7mm pen until I was straightening out my desk a bit last night and I came across it again. I had initially purchased it from JetPens.com a few months ago and used it for a little bit before writing this review. For the most part, I don't usually buy ballpoint pens to use unless there is something particularly unique about them, and this pen fits that criteria because of … [Read more...]

Uni-Ball Vision Needle Micro

The Uni-Ball Vision Needle Micro (via Amazon) in this review was given to me by Uni-Ball themselves, specifically by Steve aka Uniball_USA on Twitter who also provided some great feedback for this review on a Uni-Ball Jetstream.  This is just another example of what I was talking about in this post when I said that Twitter was a great way to keep connected to the world of office supplies.  The folks there are a great resource for all kinds of information, … [Read more...]

Uni-Ball Jetstream Ballpoint Pen .7mm

uniball jetstream

The Uni-Ball Jetstream ballpoint .7mm Pen is one of the very few ballpoint pens that I can honestly say that I like to write with.  In addition to enjoying writing with this pen, I also have to say that this is one of the more attractively designed pens that I have seen in a long time, excluding any pen that you might pay upwards of $25 for...luckily this awesome pen can be had from JetPens.com for only $2.25, and comes in red, black, and blue.  The thing … [Read more...]

How to Keep Well Informed on the World of Office Supplies

I've recently realized that Twitter really is a great resource for finding info and meeting people related to the world of office supplies, or any other topic that you are interested in. You can find everything from other bloggers who write about the topic to people who work for some of the companies that make the products we all love, to representatives of retail stores that we buy from. Having the chance to connect with some of these people on Twitter … [Read more...]

A Uniball Pens Action Figure? You can make it happen.

So Uniball has a new ad campaign and they are using this really cool looking robot (They appear to be calling him "Uni-Super-Ink Robot) in some of the spots and also on their website. I am taking it up as my official duty to start a petition for Uniball to make and sell a "Uni-Super-Ink Robot" Action Figure. :) You can see him in the video below. If you are honestly interested in Uniball making an action figure of this (ie. you are a huge office supply … [Read more...]

Uni-ball Power Tank Ballpoint Pen – Pt. 3

We have reached the final post in this 3 part series on the Uni-ball Power Tank Ballpoint Pen.  The results might be a bit surprising. I managed to successfully freeze all of the pens in a test tube and get some more writing samples from each of them. I also did a quick test to see how each of these pens write on wet paper. One thing I realize that I did not do is compare another ballpoint pen to the Power Tank, I might have to try that at a later date. … [Read more...]

Uni-ball Power Tank Ballpoint Pen – Pt. 2

Uniball Power Tank review frozen

Well, I've got my experiment for part 2 set up, so I thought Id post a quick update with some pictures too.  We have a Uniball Power Tank frozen for this review to see how it handles extreme conditions. As I had mentioned previously, I mostly use the Uniball Power Tank to track my gas mileage, so I am often writing on gas receipts leaning against my steering wheel or some other non flat surface that requires the pen to be on an angle. In addition to … [Read more...]
