@Der Bingle Thank YOU for reading and commenting, Im glad you are enjoying the reviews. I have had a few of the DXs with the peel off labels in the past, specifically the first one I ever bought, so I guess I was just surprised that this was not the standard for them.

@Luis Oliveira - Interesting to see that you only have the issue with the color versions of these, Ill have to try out a black one and compare. Thank you for the extra info.

I love the 0.7 Zebra Saraza in black and have quite a stash of those pens around at all times. However, I have had the same (bad) experience with the ZS in colors other than black (blackish blue, green, etc): scratchy writing and faltering ink flow. At first I thought it was bad luck, but I've since given up on them. Your review kind of confirms it to me.

Thank you for the excellent reviews.

I often find over branding on a pen to be annoying. Though that applies more to fine pens then something like the Uni DX. But I really like that label on the DX! I think it adds an interesting, exotic even, detail to what would be just a typical ‘blah’ clear plastic tube pen without it. If you were to let someone use your DX, what is the first thing they might comment on when they gave it back to you? Well, ok, the second thing after telling you how well it writes? I think it would be that label and the Japanese lettering on it. This might also lead to the question of who is ‘Mitsubishi’ and start a conversation on this maker of excellent everyday pens.

Btw, not all the DX pens have that label. I bought a mandarin orange one and it didn’t have it. It has a sticker you can peel off.

Another shade to check out as well is the Hunter Green in the Sarasa although I could only find it in a .7

It leans more toward green than black, similar to the Uniball sample you have.
