Terrific review.

I have a Pelikan M215, different finish, and I love it. It is among my favourites and a dream to write with. It also is a never-ending, or seemingly, ink producer.

Congratulations.

bardharlock - you're welcome, I am glad you liked the review. I dont have my Lamy Studio w/me right now, but I will do a test and update the post accordingly tonight with a few side by side writing sample comparisons.

OSG, thanks for another fine and detailed review. It is hard to tell from pictures, but how would you say the lines laid down by the Pelikan fine nib compare to the x-fine nib from your Lamy?

nrepose - Thanks! :) Glad you like the pen/ink AND the clothes. :) Maybe I should start a fashion blog next? ;)

RedPiano - Nice to see you over here, and thanks for the kind words. you are right about the Noodler's Blue Black being more towards black...I like your choice of words calling the Pelikan a good "investment" because I think it really is. It is a high quality pen that will last for a long time...longer than me I bet, and it really does add a nice little accent and bit of professionalism to a person when they are seen using it.

Lovely pen! I need something around 6" posted to write with because I have extremely long fingers. "Mini" pens never work because there's nothing for the tail end of the pen to rest on and give even pressure.

I've always liked Pelikan myself and I've seen about the same ink creep in the ones I've used (short term) in the past. From the look of your pic, not even enough to quibble about.

I recently got a dozen Private Reserve "Midnight Blues" (close as the store had to a good blue-black) for testing two pens against each other. I'm definitely liking the look of the Noodlers which plays on the Black side, while my PR just can't turn loose of blue.

Overall, for a good "dress" pen that acutally works quite well - I think the Pelikan is a good investment. Good review!!
