Whats the Most Popular Pen

Amazon Best Selling Gel Ink Pens

Amazon Best Selling Gel Ink Pens

I didn’t realize it had been so long since I last shared this list of Best Selling Gel Ink Pens from Amazon, it was September 2012 to be exact.  There has been a pretty significant change since our last look as you can see from the screen shot above.  The Pilot G2 (see our documentation of how unreliable it can be) has been consistently in the top 1-2 pens just about any time I look at this list, however today it sits there in 4th place.  This surprises me, but I’m glad to see it.

Fiskars Gel Pens

Fiskars Gel Pens

One thing that is even more surprising though is that this pack of 48 Gel Ink Pens from Fiskars is actually the #2 best selling on Amazon.  Not only is it a top seller, but it also has nearly 500 reviews which are all pretty positive, maybe its time to check some of these out?  Fiskars is more known for their cutting supplies like scissors, but they do have a range of other products, so its good to see someone else at the top of the list because one can only hope that a little competition will force some better manufactured pens to the market.

Hmm, got me curious about these. Seems they are only availabe with the Fiskars brand name as the 48peice set. (checked Amazon and Fiskars sites only)

Thinking popularity of this item is not for the same reasons that G2 usually comes up, looks like its mostly for the crafters. These might be good pens, but I am thinking they are popular because of “So Many Colors” rather than the kind of writing qualities you usually look for. (love your reviews btw)

Personally I need to see these individually or maybe a 4pack before I will give them a try. LOL with 48 I would loose hours of my work day obcessively doodling “Must Use Every Color…”

    Keep up the good work!
