I think this is good for some very specific instances, one example I saw on another site is that apparently a lot of carpenters like these for marking wood that they are going to cut. A sharp point is of no use in that situation, and the thick blunt tip is helpful. But yeah, this is a tool for some very specific instances. @Luis – Fair enough, I know plenty of people who probably feel that way. The fact that the point is a bit thicker isn't an issue. I spin the pencil when it gets a bit blunt and it makes a new point. It is very cool. My kids use it in school. Great idea.
