I haven’t quite decided how I feel about this. It’s quite interesting, but seems incredibly wasteful in the hands of most people. Can that extruded plastic by recycled or melted back down??
Not sure if the material can be recycled or not, but I was initially feeling the same way until I gave it more thought. If you look at the part of the video where they made the pattern for the Eiffel Tower, you can see how easy it would be to draw up a pattern for something like a tool maybe that can be given to a group of people that normally wouldn’t have access to it. Hypothetically speaking, imagine if you could publish plans for a mini windmill to generate electricity…probably a bit far fetched, but you get the idea.
This is amazing! I want one, or twenty!

They appear to have an option for a biodegradable plastic, so ‘wastefulness’ appears not to be a concern.
