Most Popular Rollerball Pens
I always find it fun to take a look at the top selling pens via Amazon, specifically the list of top selling rollerball pens, which by default should be some of the most popular rollerball pens based on the huge number of sales that Amazon generates. I usually find a gem or two in the listings, but I have to admit I was pretty disappointed with the batch of top sellers this time around. The majority of the top 20 in this list is made up mostly … [Read more...]
Uniball Signo 307
I recently saw the new Uniball Signo 307 (via Amazon) and was initially struck by the all black design, but after getting over the visual appeal I noticed the label that said "Writes on Glossy Paper" and was sold on the fact that I'd need to try this out. … [Read more...]
Retro 51 Tornado Homerun Limited Edition Pen
Our friends over at Goldspot sent us over one (OK, maybe two and one is going to be a giveaway soon) of the new Retro 51 Tornado Homerun baseball themed pens. Keep in mind that these are a limited edition of only 750 units, so if you are a big baseball fan and pen person, you need to get on it and pick one up now. … [Read more...]
Uniball Signo RT .28mm (UMN-155) Gel Ink Pen Review
As a huge fan of the entire Uniball Signo line, particularly the .5mm and .38mm multi pen versions I cant believe its taken me this long to get to the retractable version of the .28mm offering. I picked mine up in person from the Kinokuniya store in NYC, but you can also grab these via Amazon or via JetPens. In this review I'm just taking a look at the green, blue black, and red versions, but they come in a ton of other colors so hit those two links back … [Read more...]
Caramel Pilot G2 Refill Review
I've often written about how the Pilot G2 (especially the black .7mm) is awful and I can honestly say I consider it my Penemesis...get it Pen-Nemesis? OK, maybe not as clever as I think, but I've seriously never understood the love for the G2 after all of the testing that I've done that shows how awful they write. Today we will take a look at the .7mm Caramel Pilot G2 refill from JetPens. The last time we looked at a different color refill was the .7mm … [Read more...]
Cross Satnink Review
For quite some time now, there has been a trend away from standard ballpoint pen ink refills towards hybrid ink refills that look to take the smooth and consistent flow of a gel ink and combine it with the quick drying durable ballpoint ink that people had become accustomed to. It seems like the Cross Satnink Hybrid refill (via Amazon) is a bit late to the party, but when it caught my eye I figured I would grab one to check out and review. … [Read more...]
Retro 51 Tornado Betsy and Some Refill Options
The Retro 51 Tornado is just an all round great pen that has a ton of available colors, themes, and styles that it is available in. With my personal penchant for all things retro flag related, the new Metalsmith Betsy version of the Tornado (via Jetpens.com) was a must have. There was a nice post regarding the of Retro 51 series over at Clickypost.com that you should check out too. Although the Retro 51 Tornado Betsy for this review was received free … [Read more...]
Whats the Most Popular Pen
I didn't realize it had been so long since I last shared this list of Best Selling Gel Ink Pens from Amazon, it was September 2012 to be exact. There has been a pretty significant change since our last look as you can see from the screen shot above. The Pilot G2 (see our documentation of how unreliable it can be) has been consistently in the top 1-2 pens just about any time I look at this list, however today it sits there in 4th place. This surprises … [Read more...]
Uni-ball Signo UM-151 Revisiting an Old Favorite
I have reviewed many color and size combinations of the popular Uni-ball Signo UM-151 which also used to be called the Signo DX, but recently realized that its been a while since I really put them to use. These were an early favorite that I discovered from reading some of Brad's great reviews of them so I decided it was time to re-establish them as a go-to option for daily use. … [Read more...]
Kaweco Sport Rollerball Review
Not too long ago, the good folks at Kaweco sent us a ton of products to review. We have been going through to test and review them, but trying to space out the reviews here so we wouldn't have to rename the site KawecoSupplyGeek. The Kaweco Sport Rollerball pen is our next pen and a nice switch from fountain pens. As much as I love writing with my fountain pens, its always great to have a reliable non-fountain pen on hand for the convenience factor. … [Read more...]

Pilot Hi-Tec-C Maica Gel Ink Pen – 0.3 mm
The Pilot Hi-Tec-C Maica Gel Ink Pen is a new spin on the very popular and great performing Pilot G-Tec-C Gel ink Pen. The inside of the two pens are the same, but the outside is where you can see the real difference. This particular set of pens was given to us for review by our good friends over at JetPens, however that doesn't impact our opinion of the pens themselves. … [Read more...]
