Avery White Shipping Labels with TrueBlock Technology
Its hard to do much thats exciting with shipping labels, but to tell you the truth, what Avery has done with their TrueBlock technology is pretty cool as far as office supplies go. Id even say that because of what Avery has done with these Shipping Labels these are environmentally friendly in their own way.
The cool part about these Avery shipping labels is that you can use them directly over a shipping label from any box or package that you already have and the printing from the old label wont show through. I tried this on an old box that I have and the results were definitely impressive because in the past I’ve tried to reuse boxes like this, but couldnt because the old address showed through, and when I manhandled the box and tried to peel the label off, I ended up ruining the flap. Dry erase boards usually are not really that exciting, they dont jump out as being unique office supplies, but when I saw this silver-colored magnetic dry erase board it really grabbed my attention. I actually did need a new dry erase board, but this one just looked really cool because of its silver surface, so before I even really looked at any of the others that Staples had, my mind was pretty much made up. Read on though, because this is another example of why making impulsive purchases is not a good idea.

There are so many cool ideas out there for office supplies, and I always find it fascinating because when it comes to something like a pencil or a pencil sharpener, I never think there is much room for improvement. I think one thing that we can all appreciate when it comes to office supplies is finding something that is durable and will last you a long time. When I was contacted by the nice folks at RAGGEDedge Gear, I was immediately impressed with their idea to use sailcloth to add a good deal of durability to some office supplies and other items that typically take some abuse and end up becoming unusable as they deteriorate.

The Ink Mixing Kit and Basic Mixing Colors from Shop Writers Bloc.
In a recent office supply review, I showed you how to create your own refillable long lasting highlighter, which was fun…or at least I thought it was. Today we have something similar, with this ink mixing kit and Noodler’s basic mixing colors from Shop Writers Bloc. Standard disclaimer with any of the cool office supplies I review, in this case there was no discount or special consideration given by Shop Writers Bloc for my review today. I will say though that this is my 3rd order from them and they always ship quickly, and you can tell that they put care into the way they package and prepare your items to be shipped. It was all individually wrapped to protect things like the glass bottles.

One of the great things about attending the National Stationery Show this year was that it opened my eyes to some products that fall into the office supply category that I did not instantly think of when thinking of office supplies. One of those items, or groups of items are cutting tools. Usually one might think of scissors or letter openers and then move on. Office Supplies to Prevent Identity Theft and Fraud

I’m sure that many of you have already seen the above Uniball commercial that explains some of the benefits of their pens in preventing identity theft and fraud, and I know that there have been some other good posts on other pen review sites about these pens and the topic already, so I hope to add a little something different with my review here today. When the PR folks from Uniball contacted me to offer me some of these pens to review, I wanted to try and make sure I not only provided the info on their pens in particular but also provide a bit more comprehensive view on preventing fraud and identity theft when it comes to other office supplies as well. What I plan on doing with this post is the following:
- Share my pictures of attempted check washing by comparing a Uniball pen and a “giveaway” type ballpoint pen.
- Show some other office supplies that can help you reduce the likelihood of being a victim of fraud or identity theft.
- Provide some resources for educating yourself on identity theft and reducing the chances of it happening to you.
Hopefully these photos and tips can help someone avoid the hassle and financial impact of being a victim of identity theft by making a few inexpensive and simple changes to their day to day activities.
