Back in June I visited Washington DC and did a tour of the local stationery stores to see what cool office supplies I could dig up, and one of the places I stopped was Fahrney’s Pens. While I was there ogling over all of the great pens and notebooks, I also picked up a bottle of their Midnight Blues Ever Write Fountain Pen Ink.

Noodler's Red Black Fountain Pen Ink in a 3 oz Bottle
It has been a little while since I’ve done a fountain pen ink review, so I thought I’d break out my bottle of Noodler’s Black Red ink for a review. I cant remember where I bought this bottle from to be quite honest, I think I picked it up on my trip to DC earlier this year, but as with just about everything else in the world, you can pick some up at Amazon.com here.

My first batch of mixed ink, using my favorite Noodler's Blue Black as the base
I was pretty excited about my purchase of the ink mixing kit that I got for my fountain pen inks, and I thought that doing a review of one of my first mixed inks would be a great office supply review to do. When I did the review of the ink mixing kit, I made 12 different ink concoctions because there were 12 vials that it came with, and the one I was most excited about was this one that was made using mostly Noodler’s Blue Black, one of my favorite colors.

Private Reserve Ebony Green Fountain Pen Ink.
Since I started this office supply review blog I became fascinated and addicted to blue black inks, and it has now also led me to become fascinated with green black inks. This review will take a look at the Private Reserve Ebony Green ink that I picked up from Goldspot, who carries a ton of Private Reserve inks here, in addition to their other ink and pen selections. As I always try to point out when it applies, Goldspot did give me a small discount on my purchase of this ink for the review.

I posted a 1/2 day poll to allow my readers to pick the next item that they wanted to see reviewed, and the overwhelming winner was the Noodler’s Blue Black fountain pen ink. I was a little surprised by this, but happy at the same time because I was not aware of how many fountain pen fans there were out there. Hope everyone enjoys the review and finds it helpful.
