Pentel Tradio Pen Review

The sleek black body of the Pentel Tradio

Back in April I was going to do a review of the Pentel Tradio, but I misplaced it and then the next day The Pen Addict did his review so I didnt want to double up and go back to back so I put the pen aside for a rainy day.  With a rain delay holding up the start of the Yankee game, I figured this would be my “rainy day” although Im in NJ and the game is being played in Chicago. :)   I picked this up from Writers Bloc for $8, and as a full disclosure, there was no special discount or consideration given to me for the review.

The Cablox Cable Management System

The Cablox Cable Management System

The great thing about having a website about cool office supplies is that people are nice enough to reach out to me when they have a product that they think my readers would be interested in, and in this case I think we have a winner with the Cablox Cable Management System.  If you are like me or like most other people, you probably have a mess of cables and wires under your computer desk, and this cable management tool really helps to make a difference. The Post-it Durable Filing Tabs, pack of 66

I took a trip to Staples the other day to see what cool new office supplies I could find, and the good people at 3M and Post-it  didnt let me down.  I picked up these Post-it Filing Tabs, they said “New” on the package and I dont remember seeing them before so Ill assume that they are in fact new.

Office Supply Geek News Updates

As you can see, I’ve got a completely new theme, layout, and graphics for the site.  It took me quite a while to get this all sorted out, and I still have some minor changes to make.  This is also part of the reason I probably have not been as responsive to emails, comments, and Twitter (matching changes over at Twitter as well) over the last few weeks, but I promise to get back on that now that this is mostly done.   Let me know if anything doesnt look or work right, or if you have any feedback in general.  Hopefully I have not ruined anything that was easy to use or that you liked, but I am open to any requests or feedback, just leave a comment and Ill see what I can do.

Levenger Multicolored Briefcase Folders

Levenger Multicolored Briefcase Folders

When it comes to cool or unique office supplies, Levenger usually has the category covered and there is no exception when it comes to their Multicolored Briefcase Folders.  It might seem a bit ridiculous to do a review of folders, but these folders really are an essential tool for anyone who travels or just carries things to and from work or school on a regular basis.

Bookmarker Flag Pen by Everyday Innovations

Bookmarker Flag Pen by Everyday Innovations

Back in May when I went to the 2009 National Stationery Show to scout out some unique office supplies, I ran into Alan Regala from Everyday Innovations and he showed me the new Bookmarker Flag Pen and Bookmark that they were introducing.  It struck me as being such a simple but basic idea so it really had my attention as a new office supply that could really make peoples lives a bit easier by giving them less to carry around.  Lucky for me, Alan was kind enough to send over a sample of the Bookmarker free of charge for me to review and share with you.

The Ink Mixing Kit and Basic Mixing Colors from Shop Writers Bloc.

The Ink Mixing Kit and Basic Mixing Colors from Shop Writers Bloc.

In a recent office supply review, I showed you how to create your own refillable long lasting highlighter, which was fun…or at least I thought it was.  Today we have something similar, with this ink mixing kit and Noodler’s basic mixing colors from Shop Writers Bloc.  Standard disclaimer with any of the cool office supplies I review, in this case there was no discount or special consideration given by Shop Writers Bloc for my review today.  I will say though that this is my 3rd order from them and they always ship quickly, and you can tell that they put care into the way they package and prepare your items to be shipped.  It was all individually wrapped to protect things like the glass bottles.

Uniball Jetstream Alpha Gel in black brushed metal.

Uniball Jetstream Alpha Gel with a black brushed metal body.

Recently when @dowdyism over at The Pen Addict posted this, it reminded me that I had never done a pen review on one of my pens that I have a love/hate relationship with.  Now I know I’ve reviewed 2 other Uniball Jetstream pens, but although the ink cartridge and delivery system on this pen is the same as the others I reviewed, the body of this pen is much different.

The front cover of the Stifflexible Notebook

Today’s office supply review brings us to yet another notebook, the Stifflexible pocket size notebook.  I picked this notebook up during my trip to Boston at the Bromfield Pen Shop, where they have an excellent selection of not only pens, but also inks and stationery.  This was one of those last minute impulse purchases because they had a small display sitting on the counter, and since I never tried one of these before, I figured Id grab one to try out.

4.5 Ounces of Noodler's Year of the Golden Pig and an empty Platinum Preppy Highlighter make for the ultimate long lasting and permanent highlighter.

4.5 Ounces of Noodler's Year of the Golden Pig and an empty Platinum Preppy Highlighter make for the ultimate long lasting and permanent highlighter.

In the time that I’ve started this blog on office supplies, I’ve had one question that seems to keep coming up regarding a long lasting highlighter that wont fade and will hold up to the demands of a highlighter happy law school or medical school student.  There are a ton of options out there for highlighters, but knowing the demands of law and medical school students, I think that a refillable highlighter is the best option, so Ill be exploring that in this review.

Miquelrius Flexible Notebook

The Miquelrius Flexible Pocket Size Notebook

On my trip to Massacheusets, I picked up a bunch of items in my tour of the local office supply stores, and this small Miquelrius Flexible Notebook came from Bob Slate Stationer.  I was excited when I saw this notebook on the shelf there because I really like my other Miquelrius notebook and recently I’ve been on a small pocket size notebook kick.
